Retaining walls over 1m often need to be designed by a qualified engineer before a DA is approved, and lower thresholds apply in some situations.

A portal framed structure needs a designed steel solution — sized for span, wind region and the loads it will actually carry.
Your footings require designing to the correct site classification
Much of the Hunter sits on reactive clay. The slab has to be designed for the ground movement that comes with it.
